I Have Type 2 Diabetes

I recently went to the Urgent Care at Kaiser Hospital because my blood sugars spiked really high for me at least they did. When I got there they took me right away when they found out why I was there. I kinda felt badiabetes_0d because there was about 40 people ahead of me.  They triaged me and found that my blood pressure was 154/110 that’s really high for me but not dangerously high. then my heart rate which was 135 it was racing for sure I knew that would be high.  but when they tested my blood sugar it wouldn’t even read! it said critically high! They kept me there all day observing me and giving me IV fluids and once the Iv fluids were in me my blood pressure went down to 120/78 that was more like it.  they then gave me a shot of insulin and sent me home with more insulin . I have always used just medications except for one time when a doctor gave me prednisone which made my blood sugars go up I had to get insulin to bring it down. now I am faced with doing it twice a day I have to mix a fast acting with a long acting 30 units am at breakfast and 35 units at dinner time plus my usual glipizide morning and night.  I’m really trying to not be discouraged about it. I know its important to control my diabetes and I’m not sure if it was because I was sick recently that it was like that or if my pancreas just isnt functioning as well . The doctor was concerned that I was maybe turning into a type 1 diabetic.
